New! Operation Dough-Nation Partner: The Ellie Fund

Boston Bread, LLC, announces its new Operation Dough-Nation partner: The Ellie Fund, a Needham-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local women and their families affected by breast cancer.

Through the Operation Dough-Nation program, fourteen area Panera Bread bakery-cafes will serve as collection sites to raise money for The Ellie Fund’s “Care for the Caregiver” program which provides help with daily activities including transportation to medical appointments, daycare, house-cleaning and groceries completely free of charge to women and their families who are currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

“We are proud to partner with The Ellie Fund and help them raise money to support local families with the difficulties that can arise when a wife or mother undergoes breast cancer treatment,” says Mike Hamra, President of Panera Bread franchisee, Boston Bread. “We feel that the Ellie Fund’s focus on local families is a perfect fit with Panera’s goals to help the people who live in the communities we serve.
